Today is a nice rainy day. There is a huge downpour happening now although it sounds like it's already stopping all of a sudden.

I just finished cleaning up a lot of a Python snippet file that I had. I alphabetized it, added numbers so I could easily look up things faster, and then I pushed the branch to the GitHub file & I suppose because there were so many changes that it just created a mess and I had to just delete the whole thing and start over. I was able to copy and paste most of it back together from an old file. I never pushed that many changes before so at least I know that can happen.

I also finally finished the second season of Stranger Things last night. I of course stupidly made the mistake of seeing what the title is of the first episode on season three and saw the name Suzie so I googled it. I wasn't sure if that was someone that's already been on the show before because I'm so bad with names and on like the third link down and in the title on Google, I found out two things that I wish I hadn't. I should have known not to google literally anything at all and I was doing such a good job of avoiding spoilers. I'm okay with it now and I won't feel those blows coming, lol. I am too wrapped up in this show.

And Oh Sees released another song from their newest album that's coming out next month and the song is so good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=el4VQS7Kw88

Just got back from getting my bike fixed! I called them earlier about setting up an appointment and they were able to have me come right then which was great. And they fixed it for me while I waited instead of dropping it off and coming back for it later. I also did get some new treads and the total cost ended up being about a hundred which I was expecting that and to have other things to possibly fix. I rarely ever get a flat or have to get other things fixed so I am pretty happy with it. Also, it was nice that the bike shop person, there was only one person there and they weren't rude or anything. It's so rare to go to a bike shop without people being rude, I've only ever encountered that at one other bike shop.

And I really need to just start learning how to fix my bike myself. There has to be enough tutorials and things online to know how. The worst though is that I still have problems just being able to get a tire or tread back onto my bike or off and I don't know why that part of it is so difficult. I fixed one bike tire and it was so easy and I don't know if it was just because it was the front tire and on my previous bike but usually I can't fix the back tire and I'm lame and would rather pay someone else to do it rather than for me to end up getting upset and crying because I can't, lol.

I got my first flat tire on this new bike that I've had for a year and a half. I was just about to go to the gym when I noticed the back tire was flat. I put air in it and the tread part was protruding over the rim. So I deflated it and tried to put it in again after adjusting it and it keeps doing that. I probably put too much air in it yesterday and made it easy to warp after hitting something.

The roads here are pretty bad and they are fixing this one main street that I use. They were supposed to pave it a month ago and finally did one side of it yesterday. Before that the road was just an awful mess of bumps because the top layer has been off all this time. Strange that I get a flat when one side is paved and it was so nice riding on the newly paved road, lol. Maybe when I needed to go on one side to the other and there was a bit of a drop off that didn't help my tires so much.

I am going to try to take it to a shop tomorrow and hopefully it won't be too expensive or take too long to get it fixed. I also hope I don't need a new rim but I'm not going to be too upset about it no matter what.

Another rainy day. I do like rainy days as well as cloudless, hot summer days but when it rains every day almost I'm less likely to go to the gym that day. I go almost every day but I didn't yesterday and it's good not to go everyday but I was planning on going there this afternoon. It will most likely dry up within a few hours. When I got back from my trip to Florida it rained for two weeks and I was starting to wonder if this would just be a very rainy summer but then it cleared up for at least two weeks without any rain. It is nice having it rain on a Saturday though.

I am on the second episode of the second season of Stranger Things. I should just watch all of that today so I can get to season 3 already. I've been trying to avoid spoilers but I also want to be more in the loop and check out the fresh new memes and gif's that people are making with this season, lol.

And today I had to deal with a clogged drainage situation. I noticed it last night but it got way worse this morning although I was able to actually fix it which is surprising, lol. I never had a situation like that before in which every sink was clogged all at the same time. I used a shop vac on it which helped, as well as a plunger, coat hanger, and some draino kind of stuff. The shop vac was helpful with pulling out some of the gunk in a sink. Then I used a coat hanger, then the draino stuff. And I went to check on the draino and flush it out but I was using some water for an hour or so and when I checked to flush out the draino, the sink was full of water so I used the plunger again and it totally unclogged it and now everything is good. It was strange how using the plunger for the third time or so and after the draino that it cleared it up. And there was like some sand-ish debris that came up that time. Seemed like little granules of glass too. Strange but I'm glad it was fixable.

I need to move already. It's so boring here and there is nothing to talk about other than random issues that come up about the place I'm living in or the weather, lol. Other than that, going to the gym, and programming, there is not much else to talk about.

I just watched four episodes of the first season of Stranger Things, lol. I'm such a dork with how I am making this such a priority and rushing so I can watch season three but only after watching the first two seasons for a third time now.

And I like who was cast as Ariel in the new the Little Mermaid movie.

I haven't posted in a few days. I don't like it when most days are kind of the same and do like to switch things up in general but for the most part there isn't a whole lot to write about probably.

Yesterday I went to the gym and it started raining heavily so it was a nice bike ride going back home. I love biking in the rain and have ridden in it twice now in the last week or two.

I'm about to make dinner which consists of burrito's made with lentil beans and rice which is what I've been thinking about all day, lol. I made a whole bag of lentils that I forgot that I even had two days ago and I was craving rice so I made both and both mixed together with a lot of pepper and hot sauce is so delicious so now I am making burrito's out of it.

And then I am going to start watching all of Stranger Things tonight and tomorrow so I can start season 3 tomorrow evening or by the weekend. Barb had better be in season 3! I've been holding out for her partly because most of the death's (that I can remember) always showed people actually dying but with her it was left way more vague in a way. Also because I love Barb! She is one of the coolest characters on the show although almost everyone is awesome in it.

I also just started reading the book Inside the Machine by Jon Stokes. It looks like it's going to be a really good book. It's online at http://joe90.yolasite.com/resources/InsidetheMachine.pdf

I love waking up super early in the morning! I was able to fall asleep at a good time last night and I woke up before my alarm clock this morning. I had it set for 6:30 a.m. and woke up at 6. Lately I've been making my coffee the night before because I don't like having to wait for it to cool down from being so hot so I drank like half a pot of coffee while I was getting ready for my bike ride and my brother and his wife came a little after 7. It was nice being ready and not tired or anything and it was such a nice bike ride. They don't ride much and they don't have road bikes so we rode at a nice slow-ish pace and we went really far. It ended up being like a two and a half hour ride and it was awesome doing it so early in the morning. It wasn't too hot and just such a nice summer morning. And people are weirdly friendly on the trail that we rode on. I didn't know if it was because I rode with two other people and not used to that but my brother said people are usually friendlier in the morning so maybe it was because of that. I'm not used to people saying hello when you go by them, lol.

Then I came home and ended up taking a nap which was surprising. I didn't feel that tired at first but after eating lunch I was. I just studied some about the pandas library and made a little script and about to go to the gym now.

I'm also planning on going to sleep earlier for now on. And with how I did last night, hopefully it will be easier and with today already seeming like a long day and it's not even 3 yet. I usually go to sleep around midnight or a little before but 10:30 would be ideal. For the longest time I used to stay up all night until like 8 in the morning and only started going to sleep earlier in the last nine months and I was going to sleep around 10:30-11:30 but then it slid back to 11:30-1:00 and I don't want to do that again. Hopefully going to the gym will wear me out enough by the time it's evening tonight.

Today is a lazy day. I don't think I have that many of these and probably needed it. It's also probably because I ate an entire crappy pizza today. That is the last time I do that. It is just ruining my whole day with just processing it, lol and with how I'm going on a super early bike ride tomorrow, I'm planning on going to sleep way earlier than usual but hopefully I can. I am looking forward to my super early bike ride.

And today I did pick up my contacts and I finally started watching the Burbs and almost finished with it. This has been one of my favorite movies in the last few years and it seems like I've been watching it like once a year almost. I don't do that with any movies at all and watching it this time, I like it but I don't think I can watch movies over and over like I used to. There are so many other things to watch that seeing the same movie I've seen before just isn't that fun. It's weird because when I was a kid, I could watch movies over and over and now I think that is so weird almost, lol. I don't know how I had so much time before in which I would watch movies so many times. Maybe because there were not so many other things to see at the time.

Today was a good day. With continuing to learn programming I worked more on my Flask program that I'm trying to make. I still can't figure out how to import things from my files. Continued reading more of the The Programmers' Stone which is such a good read with some interesting concepts and ideas. I wish I could have been more productive and I'm going to watch a tutorial about the Pandas library before I go to sleep later.

I finally set up my air conditioner. I wasn't sure if I would even do that this summer but it is so hot today that I did and it only took me like two minutes, lol.

Biked to the gym today and had a really good workout. And it's so nice biking in the summer. There are some road repairs happening with the main street that I use in this town so I've been taking a detour with some other streets and it reminds me of summer when I was a little kid and I road by a house that a friend used to live in and it reminded me of sleepovers that we used to have and now I'm in the mood to watch cartoons tomorrow morning, lol.

I also got a call from my older brother about getting together and going for a long bike ride with him and his wife. We talked about how we should get together and do that a couple months ago and we are going to super early Sunday morning.

Tomorrow I finally get to pick up my new contact lenses and I plan on just having a nice, pleasant weekend. I kind of want to rewatch the first two seasons of Stranger Things before the third season comes out soon but I'm also watching Inborn Pair which is pretty good and I want to watch summer-ish movies. I've been wanting to watch the Burbs which is my favorite summer movie ever but I haven't yet.

I've been checking out Dreamwidth more and like so much about it already and like it better than lj already. And I love their diversity statement. Not sure what I'll be posting about in here, probably random things, stuff about programming which I'm learning, and other things that I obsess about I guess.

If anyone wants to be friend's, add me!

I miss LiveJournal and having a place to have a fun online diary like I used to there. I came across http://theoldnet.com and was reminded again about how much I missed it and decided to join LJ again but with how it's changed over the years, it seems to be a ghost of it's former self. Also I'm not sure how anti-lgbt they are now that they fall under Russian law and are okay with that it seems.

When I first got onto the internet, I can't remember how long it was until I found LJ but it was the place that I have some of my fondest "internet" memories, lol. I could see how other people lived and how people of all kinds of different lives still had pretty similar experiences and worries and whatnot and it was eye opening for me, a completely introverted, shy dweeb that didn't really know many people while growing up and it was an amazing place to connect with people.

I created an LJ account but already looking for an alternative and I hope Dreamwidth could be that place.
