I miss LiveJournal and having a place to have a fun online diary like I used to there. I came across http://theoldnet.com and was reminded again about how much I missed it and decided to join LJ again but with how it's changed over the years, it seems to be a ghost of it's former self. Also I'm not sure how anti-lgbt they are now that they fall under Russian law and are okay with that it seems.
When I first got onto the internet, I can't remember how long it was until I found LJ but it was the place that I have some of my fondest "internet" memories, lol. I could see how other people lived and how people of all kinds of different lives still had pretty similar experiences and worries and whatnot and it was eye opening for me, a completely introverted, shy dweeb that didn't really know many people while growing up and it was an amazing place to connect with people.
I created an LJ account but already looking for an alternative and I hope Dreamwidth could be that place.
