I got my first flat tire on this new bike that I've had for a year and a half. I was just about to go to the gym when I noticed the back tire was flat. I put air in it and the tread part was protruding over the rim. So I deflated it and tried to put it in again after adjusting it and it keeps doing that. I probably put too much air in it yesterday and made it easy to warp after hitting something.
The roads here are pretty bad and they are fixing this one main street that I use. They were supposed to pave it a month ago and finally did one side of it yesterday. Before that the road was just an awful mess of bumps because the top layer has been off all this time. Strange that I get a flat when one side is paved and it was so nice riding on the newly paved road, lol. Maybe when I needed to go on one side to the other and there was a bit of a drop off that didn't help my tires so much.
I am going to try to take it to a shop tomorrow and hopefully it won't be too expensive or take too long to get it fixed. I also hope I don't need a new rim but I'm not going to be too upset about it no matter what.
